- What You Can Expect -

It may be tiny, but the island of Malta packs a powerful punch when it comes to history, culture, and beauty. Enjoy a full-day tour, and travel to the ancient capital of Mdina and the settlement of Rabat outside the city walls.

Start with a visit to Mosta Church, renowned for its magnificent dome. Built in the 19th century and modeled on Rome's Pantheon, it has one of the largest unsupported domes in the world.

Continue to San Antons Gardens in Attard, where the president of Malta has his official residence in the palace that adjoins the public gardens. Take time to stroll around the formal gardens and say hello to the ducks and swans.

The tour then proceeds to the famous crafts village of Ta' Qali, where traditional glass blowers, potters, and jewelers can be seen at work and offer their goods for purchase.

Stop for lunch before continuing to St. Paul's Grotto in Rabat, followed by a visit of the Wignacourt Museum also in Rabat and a tour of the medieval city of Mdina. The ancient capital of Malta, Mdina is strategically situated in the center of the island and boasts a spectacular mix of architecture within its walls.

You will also get to walk on the old ramparts and take in magnificent views across the island, as well as stroll through the enchanting traffic-free streets.
